Industry Networking @ Quest Rockingham

WA DEFENCE REVIEW on Thursday 22 October 2020 held our third ‘Industry Networking’ function for 2020, this time at Quest Rockingham, which jointly sponsored the event alongside Quest Fremantle.  The evening’s proceedings included impromptu talks from guest speakers: Cr Barry Sammels, Mayor of Rockingham; RADM Wendy Malcolm, Head Maritime Systems, Capability Acquisition & Sustainment Group (CASG) and CAPT Ainsley Morthorpe, Commanding Officer, HMAS Stirling who addressed an invitation-only audience after which networking and mingling over canapes and light refreshments. concluded another successful event. The event attracted nearly 40 decision makers and senior professionals representing ASP Defence Support Services, Austal, AustCyver Innovation Hub, Australian Marine Complex, City of Kwinana, City of Rockingham, Civmec, Defence West, Department of Defence, Helicopter Logistics, Kwinana Industries Council, Leonardo, Luerssen Australia, Navantia Australia, Rockingham Kwinana Chamber of Commerce, Royal Australian Navy, Saab Australia, Thales Australia, Ventia, Warship Asset Management Alliance (WAMA) and Westport.


Established in 2017, WA DEFENCE REVIEW set an important historical precedent by launching the first West Australian-based platform to support Australia’s defence sector across the spectrum of
politics, government, defence, industry and academia.
